What They Do:
These pups enjoy the simple pleasures in life, like sleeping in, going for walks, playing fetch in the yard and sticking their heads out of car windows to feel the wind in their fur. They enjoy the outdoors but are content to spend the afternoon snuggling on the couch and watching Netflix.
What Vaccines They Need:
- Rabies Vaccine
- DAP (Distemper, Adenovirus, Parvovirus) Vaccine
Why They Need Them
These are considered “core” vaccines and are recommended for every dog. Since Rabies is a deadly virus that can be transferred to humans, vaccination is required by law. Distemper, Adenovirus and parvo are also very contagious viruses and can be deadly.
Social Butterfly Package
What They Do:
These dogs love to be out and about socializing with their canine and human friends. You will find them at doggie daycares, grooming parlors, dog shows, boarding facilities, dog parks and pet friendly restaurants.
What Vaccines They Need
- Core Vaccines (DAP and Rabies)
- Canine Influenza Vaccine
- Bordetella Vaccine
- Parainfluenza Vaccine
Why They Need Them
All of the above vaccines protect against viruses that are highly contagious and easily transmitted through close contact with other dogs. Once infected, dogs can develop sneezing, coughing and even pneumonia. Think of how many doggie birthday parties your pup would miss if they got sick!
Adventurer Package
What They Do:
Work hard and play hard! These dogs love exploring and being out in nature and may swim in or drink from lakes and streams. They hang out wherever wild things are: forests, parks, hiking trails, farmlands, bodies of water, city streets.
What Vaccines They Need
- Core Vaccines (DAP and Rabies)
- Leptospirosis Vaccine
Why They Need Them
Leptospira bacteria can live for months in soil and water contaminated by livestock, rodents, wild animals and other dogs. Dogs with lepto can develop kidney or liver failure, lung disease and bleeding disorders. Lepto can also be spread to humans and can cause serious disease in anyone infected.
Puppy Package
What They Do:
Puppies love to play and have fun and they use their cuteness to get away with almost anything (like chewing your new shoes or peeing on your favorite banket.) They spend a lot of time learning how to sit, stay and shake paw. They are brand new to the human world and require lots of patience and lots of love.
What Vaccines They Need
- DAP Vaccine- *requires boosters every 3 weeks until 16 weeks old*
- Rabies Vaccine- *single dose at 12 weeks of age*
- +/- Lepto Vaccine (depending on lifestyle)- requires a 3 week booster
- +/- Bordetella, influenza, parainfluenza (depending on lifestyle)- require 3 week boosters)
Why They Need Them
When puppies are first born, they get their antibodies from their mother’s milk. As they grow, their immunity starts to wane making it necessary to vaccinate them every 3 weeks until they are 16 weeks old. This ensures that there are no gaps in immunity and that your pet will mount an optimal immune response. Every pup requires a rabies vaccine and a vaccine series for their core vaccines. Additional vaccines will be given based on lifestyle. Vaccines will be scheduled to minimize the number of visits as much as possible. Home visits for booster vaccines will be half price.
