Fear-Free for Pets
Imagine that you are a young dog or cat just starting to acclimate to a new life of living with a new species (humans). One day, you are unexpectedly taken to a brand new environment with threatening noises and scents, bright lights and hard metal tables. You are suddenly whisked away to be poked, prodded, violated and restrained. You have no idea why this is happening or what will happen next.
Unfortunately, most in-hospital Veterinary visits are scary and at times even traumatizing for pets. In your home, your pet will feel safe and loved as they receive the gentle care they need.
Stress-Free for you
In-hospital Veterinary visits can be extremely stressful on everyone. Many families give up on even taking their pet to the Vet unless absolutely necessary because it is just too difficult to wrestle a cat into a carrier or drag a dog that is filled with energy or anxiety, into a car. Add multiple pets or children to the equation and Vet visits become nearly impossible.
With home visits there is no waiting, no wrangling, and no small, cramped exam rooms. Home visits are relaxed, convenient and comfortable.
Thorough and Accurate Physical Exams
Because our pets can’t tell us if something is wrong, the physical exam is by far the most valuable tool we have as Veterinarians to evaluate your pet’s health. Typically, when a pet walks into a Vet hospital their adrenaline is pumping. Their heart rate, respiratory rate, blood pressure, appetite and expression of pain are always very different than they would be at home. The time constraints of a private practice may lead to rushed or incomplete physical exams. With home visits, your pet will have up to one hour of undivided attention and physical exams will be focused, thorough, conscientious and accurate.

With hour long home visits, we will be able to form a lasting relationship with you and your pet. I will take time to understand your pet’s lifestyle and the role they play in your family. Your pet will have the undivided care and attention that they need and deserve and you will have the ability to ask all of your questions and express all of your concerns. We will thoroughly discuss all subjects that pertain to your pet’s health and overall wellness including vaccines, parasite prevention, training, nutrition, emergencies, insurance options and much more. You will be provided with plenty of resources so that you will never feel stranded or confused when it comes to your pet’s health.
