Charities:

At Agape Mobile Vet, the principal of “pay it forwardis important to us. In order to help  make the world a better place for animals and the people who love them, a portion of all proceeds received are donated to charity. Your help is needed to decide where that money goes. 10% of all charges associated with the care of your pet will be donated and distributed, at your discretion, between the charities listed below.  If there is a different human or animal charity that you are passionate about, you have the option to donate to that charity instead.

Agape Emergency Fund

Every pet deserves medical care in the event of an emergency, regardless of their owner’s ability to pay for their pets medical expenses. The “Agape Emergency Fund” was created to prevent euthanasia due to an owner’s financial constraints in an emergency situation.  All proceeds will go to provide life-saving care to a pet in need, and will help ease the unexpected financial burden that emergencies often cause for families.

 Dogs Against Trafficking

The atrocities of human trafficking that exist within our nation and around the world are utterly heartbreaking.  “Dogs Against Trafficking” is an organization that trains service and therapy dogs to protect rescue teams and provide love and comfort to survivors during therapy sessions, helping to create a safe environment for healing.  Dogs also guard and secure safe houses, and accompany survivors as they face their perpetrators in court.

 Not One More Vet

Tragically, there is an epidemic of suicide within the Veterinary profession.  Although the exact causes are not well understood, it is believed that a combination of factors including compassion fatigue, burnout, and the burden of insurmountable student loan debt play a role.  The stress of frequent ethical dilemmas, and trauma of having to euthanize pets, can be emotionally devastating over time. This can lead to feelings of hopelessness, helplessness, and despair.  The mission of Not One More Vet is to transform the status of mental wellness within the Veterinary profession so Vets can survive and thrive through education, resources, and support.

“The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.”
